LESSONS & TRAINING

As part of our commitment to the equestrian community, Tudor Equestrian also offers a renowned lesson and training program.

Head Instructor and Trainer, Jessica Hall, holds her Master Instructors Certification in English Flat/Jump and Western. She is also a Certifying Examiner for CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) - an International Organization that evaluates and certifies equestrian instructors.

Here, you are in good hands. No matter the discipline, we believe in starting where you are, and growing your relationship, trust and appreciation with your equine partner.

Lessons are offered in private, semi-private and small-group format. Lessons start at 30 minutes for a private lesson and extend in length with the number of riders.

Winter Session 1: January 2 to February 24
Spring Session 1: March 4 to April 27

WHAT TO BRING

Riders must provide their own gear. We suggest you bring a water bottle.

Mandatory:
  • Riding helmet - these can be purchased online or at a local equestrian store and must be no more than 5 years old. Tudor does not currently carry riding helmets.

  • Boots - While you  do  not  need riding boots  specifically, it is important that your  footwear has  at least a heel, a closed and protected toe as well as a sole with some grip. Running shoes are not sufficient. However, rubber and cowboy boots are acceptable.

Suggested:

As you progress we suggest you get yourself:

  • Riding boots: English riders may opt for tall boots, or paddock boots with half chaps to prevent rubbing and chaffing. Western riders usually opt for a version of cowboy boots.

  • Breeches/Jeans: English riders ride in breeches. These can be knee-patch, euro or full-seat and we suggest you go for what you find most comfortable. Western riders, we suggest jeans with stretch and no detail that may scratch the saddle.
